Happy Hour Spotlight: Delmonico’s Steakhouse

Delmonico’s Steakhouse | 6001 Quarry Lane | Independence, OH
Centrally located at Interstate 77 and Rockside Road in Independence, Delmonico’s location can’t be beat. The setting can be described as that of a supper-club, with a retro design, mood lighting and red leather furnishings. There are three dining areas—the bar, the main restaurant and the patio.
Food and Drink
Happy hour at Delmonico’s is fine—and I mean fine—dining on a dime. The food, upscale and first-rate, has yet to disappoint. The Little Christy ($11.50), unsurprisingly, is the most popular item on the menu. It’s a four-ounce filet, cooked to order, with garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, a shrimp and garlic bread. It’s as delicious as it sounds. Other offerings include a daily flatbread, a cheddar burger, a meatball hoagie, a cheese platter, shrimp cocktail and spinach-artichoke bake. They range in price from $6 – $8.
The drink choices are impressive. Peroni is $3, wines are $5 – $7 and cocktails are $5 and $6. Wines offered are La Marca prosecco, William Hill chardonnay and Ergo red blend. Cocktails include Manhattans, old fashioned’s and a pomegranate smash.
Happy hour at Delmonico’s is offered Monday – Friday from 3 – 6 p.m. in the bar area and on the patio. The bar area is comprised of the bar itself, four booths and a community table. The servers have been very professional on all my visits. Delmonico’s seems to always be crowded, so it’s luck of the draw if you’ll get a table; guests are able to put in their names and wait (first-come first-served).

🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Wings, fries, jalapeno poppers and other friend appetizers … that’s what comes to many people’s minds when they think of happy hour. Not at Delmonicos. Happy hour customers get upscale, full meals at steep discounts. Give it a shot—you won’t be disappointed. Cheers!
