Setting
A local favorite known for its award-winning pizza, Crust is located on Professor Avenue in the heart of Tremont. Occupying the building formerly known as Komorowski Funeral Home, the restaurant shares the space with Visible Voice book store, located on the second floor. Crust features a modern bar that seats 15, a dining room (with works from local artists donning the walls) that can accommodate about 60 people and a street-level, dog-friendly patio with six tables.

Food and Drink
It’s easy to see why the pizza at Crust is critically acclaimed. Hand-tossed, made from scratch and baked in a deck oven, the pizza is flavorful and satisfying. Happy hour features the eatery’s signature dish for just $3—its monster slices. Weighing in at one pound (or more, depending on your toppings), this beast of a creation is worth the trip to Tremont alone. Other discounted offerings include 50 cent wings, $6 cocktails (I recommend the greyhound), $5 wines and $1 off drafts. Crust has an impressive selection of local beers on tap.

Notes
Lots of good stuff to cover here … For starters, Crust offers happy hour twice a day. It’s available Tuesday through Saturday (they’re closed on Mondays) from 5 – 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. – 12 midnight. Reservations are accepted and the service is first-rate. Crust also features a parking lot with 25 spaces—this is the Tremont equivalent of finding a unicorn.

Rating Scale & Verdict
🍷 🍷=Average 🍷🍷🍷=Good 🍷🍷🍷🍷=Excellent

🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Crust’s happy hour is limited but that’s okay—this is a place that knows what it’s good at and they do it well. Plus, happy hour is twice a day. Did we mention they have a parking lot … in Tremont! If this weren’t enough, Crust made the Daily Meal list of “The Best Pizza in Every State” and landed on the Food Network collection of the “Best Pizzas in America’s Biggest Cities.” This is legitimately good pizza that’s right in our backyard. Take advantage of it. Cheers!
